This was taken at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Michigan.  I photographed this waterfall on the coast of Lake Superior over several years.  At first I stood back and framed the rock; later in an effort to change compositions, I moved in closer and isolated the waterfall - making it the dominant feature in the frame.  Finally over several weekend trips I refined the composition - often photographing in bad weather.  One spring evening it all came together - the light, the color, the composition.  This is one of those images that took a long time and it was well worth the wait.
