Black-tailed Deer in Velvet

Photographed off Obstruction Point Road at Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park, near Port Angeles, Washington

Early July
Canon 100-400 mm IS lens

The deer at Hurricane Ridge are very acclimated to humans.  We sat next to the meadow and just waited for this buck with his beautiful velvet antlers to move into the wildflowers and pose for us.
