Sunny Walter is a professional nature photographer,
writer, and former Boeing systems engineer. She is former photo editor
of Washington Wildlife Magazine, photographs for Washington State
Tourism and environmental organizations, and designs nature and photo Web
sites. Sunny's photographs have been published in Washington,
A Journey of Discovery, two Nature Conservancy books, Washington
Wildlife Viewing Guide, Sunset Magazine, PhotoMedia, and others.
Her interests include hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing to natural places
of great beauty and solitude where wildlife is supreme.

Janet O'Mara is a lifelong writer and editor.
She worked for many years for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife,
the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, and as editor of
Washington Wildlife Magazine. Her interests include bird-watching,
camping, hiking, sailing, and sharing the joy of nature with others, especially
children.
