Additional areas to see old growth trees:

  • Mount Rainier Natinal Park
    • Grove of the Patriarches Trail at the Ohanapecosh entrance

      • (self-guided nature trail through splendid old growth trees)
    • Carbon River Rain Forest Trail on the northwest (and wetter) side of the mountain
  • Aashel Curtis Nature Trail near Snoqualmie Pass

    • (take the Aashel Curtis / Denny Creek Exit #47, turn right at the first stop sign, turn left at the second stop sign, drive to the end of FR #55, and park. Trail starts at the picnic area.)
