Sun-Tues, May 30 - June 1 Agassiz NWR -- NW corner of Minn. (23 miles N of Thief River Falls; more from Hwy 2) Waterfowl migration; nesting Franklin's gulls, earred grebes, and b-c night herons; w-t deer, moose, river otter, wolves, coyote, & red fox (pups/kits born in April).
Primitive campsites on nearby? Hayes Lake SP CG (showers) -
20 miles NE.

Chase Lake NWR -- central No. Dak, 10 miles N of Hwy 94
Nesting A. white pelicans (largest), cormorants, terns, avocets, gulls, geese; prairie and marsh birds.
